INTRODUCTION

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury:

Now that you have heard the evidence and the arguments, I must instruct you on the law that applies to this case.  You must find the facts from the evidence in the case, and you must apply the law that I give you in these instructions.  You must not single out any one instruction as stating the law.  You must consider the instructions as a whole.

You should not concern yourself with the wisdom of any rule of law, or any opinion you might have about what the law should be.  You may not base your verdict on bias, prejudice, or sympathy.
