Definition of “dangerous weapon” (context of assault and robbery)

            A dangerous weapon is a weapon which may be used to endanger human life or inflict great bodily harm.  You may find that a gun is a dangerous weapon, when it is used in the commission of a robbery, whether or not the gun is loaded or capable of being fired.
